Baozou Manhua, also known as Rage Comic, started in China around 2008 as a wall of crude drawings and screaming faces posted on forums and later on its own site and app. Anyone could grab the faces, drop them into a four panel strip and publish a joke the same afternoon.
The sprout on the head became the signature of that scene. It marks the face that keeps growing no matter how bad the punchline gets, and it turned into one of the most reposted images in Chinese internet culture.
By 2019 the platform was pushed offline, yet the faces refused to disappear. They kept living in group chats, stickers and reaction folders around the world. $BAOZOU is that survival instinct written onchain, one screaming head at a time.

THE SPROUT RULE
One panel, one joke, one sprout that keeps growing. The character was never owned by a studio, it was owned by whoever posted it next. That rule is now the token rule.

CHAPTER ONE
Baozou means running wild. The face was drawn to lose loudly, and that is exactly why people loved it. Every panel put the little sprout head in a ring far too big for it, mouth open, still swinging. $BAOZOU carries that same posture into the market: outmatched on paper, never quiet.
CHAPTER TWO
In the comics the screaming monk was the running joke about staying calm while everything burns. Our holders adopted it as the diamond hand chapter. Buy, breathe, do nothing, keep screaming inside. The chart moves in cycles, the sprout keeps growing either way.
CHAPTER THREE
The blade panel came from the era when readers made their own strips and posted them the same day. That is the community model here: no permission, no marketing agency, just people editing the same face and shipping it. Every meme is a swing, and volume follows the swings.
